My Citroen GS experience dates back to the beginning of time, in early 1976 as I came to driving age my farther had a 1973L GS 1220 Club in metallic green, I did my driving practice on it and then when I passed my test I got to borrow it. My farther continued to have Citroens, several GSs, a Visa, GSA and BXs. I borrowed most of his cars for odd trips but bought too of then from him, the first was a 1976R GS Pallas in 1984 and the second a 1978S GSX2 in 1985, which my father had owned since it was 18 months old and less than 10,000 miles.
In 2007 an impulsive eBay bid meant I owned a 1978 GS Special with 1299cc engine and 5 speed gearbox. It had also gained GSA doors before I got it. I had it for a year and it ran well but was a bit tatty in places. I sold it because I had too many cars to look after. It has been for sale a couple of times in the intervening years but I never managed to come to an agreement until Nov 2013 when I won it on ebay, Now looking sad with no MOT and a bad hydraulic leak I have been assured the structure of the car is still solid. The car is now with Chevronic in Hitchin where it has gone to see if it possible to get it an MOT without a full restoration!

This is the 2nd time I hear of someone re-purchasing a vehicle they sold off. Kinda freaky, but I think it's tempting at times hey.

Never thought I'd own a Citroen after exploring a C2 and not buying it!
