becareful your disc, dont scratch it. try to insert deeply to center.

I would never fit pads on discs with a lip that large :( the edge of the pad is riding on the disc lip, so the brakes would be diabolical for the first 20 or 30 presses.
Also you should not lever against the disc when moving the pistons back as it can damage the disc, there are special tools for doing that job.
Lastly it is a good plan to slacken the bleed nipple when movin the piston back, so that the dirty caliper fluid is not forced back into the system, or the brake cylinder rubbers are not inverted.
If you are going to give demonstrations on a forum regarding brakes, at least make it safe.

An alternative support in case your jack gives way. Imagine you are on your knees with your head inside the wheel arch
and a flimsy jack gives way . Your neck or spine will be broken my friend.
Best to have axle stand supporting the vehicle AND show it in the pictures :wink:

Those wind up jacks are only for changing tyres in emergency, when you can complete the job without ever placing any part of your
body inside the profile of your car.
