YPDATE:

Ok, removed the door cars, cut thru plastic (neatly :)) and inspect runners etc, all VERY clean and well lubricated.
Did a BSI reset....window problem still evident.
Did a Bsi reset, cleaned and lubricated window runners....window problem persists.
BSI reset, stripped switch down to circuit board, cleaned between contacts with dental probe, sprayed with cleaner, polished contacts, ....window works perfectly.

Looks like (buggered if I could see it ) some dirt inside the switch...result
