The little ball in the pressure release screw hole,

Post by Timmo »

evening all,
something that Randomly appeared in my head last few days and got me thinking, the ball that sits in the pressure release screw/bleed screw?? by the accumulator sphere, does it have a common size??
the reason i ask is, As a Keen mountain biker and Bike repairer i have Loads of Balls out of the older style Cup and Cone hubs, they generally come in 3/16, 3/8 and 1/4" but are available in most sizes in mm too, the kinda point is that they are cheap now, and if the magic ball is of the same size as the bike ones i may have spares (new and old) if anyone needs any spares??
it got me thinking due to how easy they are to loose if you undo it a bit too much and how much of a pain in the Bum they are to find! hahah! - ive dropped hundreds of the thngs in the shed and workshops!! :-D

Timmo.

PS:  It was easier to find the thread with Google search than the forum search 8-)
