Anyway.. ON TO THE CORRECT TOPIC! :

After the hydraluic leak, things should settle down on her now, though I DO desperatly need to chuck two good spheres on the back.

Ive got a pair of really soft ones on the back of a H reg Manderin XM, which are normal NON Hydractive ones.

That should be it then... The only other large thing to do is the heater matrix WHEN it decides to start leaking..

Non hydtractive spheres on a hydractive car can make the ride lovely Paul... It may seem a bit under-damped under some conditions though but yu can overcome that by making more use of sport mode.

What makes yo think the heater matrix might go? One rule is to never, ever speak of such things as Xantias have ears and read the forums regularly. She might get ideas...

Going OT will this work on the XM's as well?

Wondering if i can make the rear of mine softer as there is hardly ever any weight in the back but when the tank was full it was a wee bit softer so wondering if this would help in the future :)

Don't see why not Will. There's never any harm in sensible experimentation with corner spheres so long as you don't try fitting accumulators. Now that is interesting...

DickieG did it a while back and his HDi Exclusive was beautiful ride. I fancy it has 1.8 non-Hydractive spheres at the front and something else equally outrageous at the back but the end result was magnificent.

It took him many experiments to find the best though.

I once had an Activa and I put basically what I had in stock on just to get it MOT'able. Best riding Activa ever but sadly I could not tell what was on there.

So go on, give it a go...

Paul, sorry for dragging your thread OT again. I promise no more!

I KNEW I should NOT of done the clutch and called it a day!

Im now got the cutting out at strong fuel demand requests again!!

But, added to that, she also takes an AGE to start up, normally she will go within 5 turns, but now its getting on for 40 turns before she fires!

And to top it all, its happened the day I decide I dont need to take my Lexia home!!! So wont know till tomorrow whats going on.

Filter maybe dirty of partially blocked/collapsed?

Does it go into limp or display any warning?

What happens if you prime the fuel circuit first before firing up?

Damn that must be so annoying after not having a problem for so long!

Must admit, it does sound like the high pressure pump, again :(

At least you'll have on that damaged HDi90 you've got, just a right bugger that it's a PITA to fit!

Paul, you poor devil  Just one thing after another. I shouldn't have said what I said to you yesterday. Really put the mockers on things  Sorry.

Is the 90 pump the same as the 110 pump?

Can it be swapped like an XUD injection pump without disturbing the cambelt and timing?

Yes N no really Jim. Theres NO bolt holes to hold the pump sprocket in place like the XUD, however, if you are VERY VERY carefull and after popping the sprocket off the shaft you can rest it on the nose of the engine mount with the belt attached and then carefully remove the pump from the engine..

As Above, Yes 90 and 110 pumps, injectors sensors etc etc are all the same. Only the Turbo and intercoolers are the difference between the two setups..
