Xantia Accu Sphere Diagnosis

I have recently purchased a 93 Xantia all the spheres have been changed except the accumulator, when I apply the brakes the regulator cuts in and out rapidly.
the pump normally cycles about every 20 secounds, is the accumulator due for replacement?

Sounds very much like a problem I had, and it was the accumulator. Changing this was fairly simple after looking at the advice from this forum. See Xantia suspension and brakes. I used the jubilee clib method to remove the sphere from the start and had no problems. Happy sphere changing.
