Persnally.. now after 1.6 experiance. I wouldnt bother with the 1.6 ..

Shame really that i think all vtx+ spec cars are 1.6 and all have sat naff and cruise as standard..

Thing is it doesn't bother me what it is, if its going for sensible money and can be saved it can then go onto someone else after a good service as well as i think this is another case of a diesels service interval being stretched to far, although DMF issues aren't uncommon on these either and DPF

Peter the later s2 c5 are far superior then the s1 but MAKE sure its a 2.0 16v unit.. NOT a 1600. The 2.0 psa dw engine is like the 8v engine.. cracking.. also the 1.6 engines dont have a tank pump but the engine pump is on the back of the engine and the turbo on the front.. this also means the fuel rail is on the back too and not easy to get at...

What concerns me about the later ones is the apparent difficulty in doing fairly simple repairs like the window mechanisms and the fact that they have a DPF of course. This is only what I have read but mine has been pretty straightforward to repair so far although I have had to do quite a lot to it - but it was cheap - and the colour is nice.

Yes some, but lack of space is the issue for me.
