the hire car was to be a Toyota Corolla but it was upgraded to a brand new Hyundai Sonata hybrid.some eye opening stuff re lane discpline and speeding. Huge trucks doing 80 plus on both sides of you! 4 and 6 lanes all speeding and there is no such thing as the two second rule.. no gaps allowed
Driving like being in grand theft auto is the norm! Glad we did it in car though, air con was a must in 40 to 45 degree temps, on a bike it would have been boring 'for me' the freeways were very long and although the scenary was something else for me, bikes need to be ridden not just sat on
All great fun though, just neeed to save for a few more years to do it or something similar again.
