ooo I don't know much about 90 hdis. LX then? no wait it could be a forte right? AS you can tell my knowledge is a bit thin. I haven't even sat in a later xantia. Always been curious about them though. So I might get to see chris' 110 and a 90 parked next to each other!

I cant wait! in fact maybe I should just set off now?!

see you all there

Talking of Shed of the Show, I believe that my old Visa Special won it last time...

Now that was some car...

Just Sunday for us, XM S1 V6 24v and I'll be in the C4, convoying with a mate in his XM S2 V6 24v...

I'll have to keep an eye on the speed in the C4, don't want the XMs falling behind...

I'm aiming to get there between 10.30 and 11.00. I'll be in my HDi Exclusive as I've not had chance to clean the Activa after its commuting this week.

See you all there :-D

Went along to the National Rally today and it was a great day. Good to see friends old and new, however as seems to be the usual case I most certainly didn't manage to get around to having a chat with everyone! One of the highlights of the rally was most probably successfully getting the three Black C4 Coupes in attendance - good to see you again Peter and nice to meet you Davie! As some of you may have seen, we decided to have a photo shoot in the adjoining field with the three cars which caused a bit of a stir. :)

Great drive down, going in convoy with dad in his Series 1 XM 3.0 V6 24v, and Geoff in his Series 2 XM 3.0 V6 24v. Those V6s have certainly got the legs on the dual carraigeways however the C4 did well, although I was cautious of the speed as due to my age if I get 6 points it's voila to the license... Either way, though, great trip down and definitely good to open it up...

All in all I thought that the new location for the National was very good indeed. Great location IMO and same again next year would be great!

Above are some pics of the C4s together. While taking some photos I was shocked to get the phonecall from dad saying that the C4 had won the People's Choice award for Citroen's Post 1990. Many thanks indeed if you chose to vote for it - it came as quite the surprise! Also if you voted for dad's XM, too - many thanks.

Looking forwarding to other peoples pics.

Excellent photo's as always Franklin.
My next door neighbour is considering a C4 to replace his Mazda 3, will show him your pictures.

Dropped in for a few hours on Saturday pm. As above never got to speak to half the people I wanted to (was hoping to get some unsuspecting volunteers to swap my seats but they were too mucky).

Nice to finally meet Malcolm, have always missed him in the past.

Great photos Franklin. Liking the 3 C4s together!
Well deserved win with the best "modern" Citroen (I voted for you!) while I was talking to Davie, yours had so much interest.

I can't really compete with franklin's photos, but here are some of my favourites I took .

Tidy Xsara with black wheels

Nice white Ami

Loved this Xantia (voted for it, don't know if it won or not) What are those wheels, they look great!
Image
Really clean BX
Image
Are black wheels the fashion this year?
Image
3 Black C4s (one unlike any of Franklin's photos)
Image
Every 2CV & Ami should have the Nuclear power, no thanks sticker!

Thanks Mark, Steve and Peter re pics.

Thanks for the vote Peter! I must confess to not filling in a voting form as I didn't get around to it...! Nice pics - the more the merrier! There was a really nice selection of cars there today. It's nice to see other people's respective of the show.

The three C4s leaving in convoy at the end was excellent, I'm glad I had my window down when you pulled out of the junction as it did sound lovely!

Too loud, man! Ha!

A great day out, such a variety, nice to speak to some, but again didn't meet as many people as I'd have liked. Should all wear badges with user names on!

Hi all,

great to meet some of you.

'Ill edit and do a full write up tomorrow. But I thought id upload my photos and post up this one:
"no no you want a v6"

Image

Accidental photo I assure you! Great meeting you Jim, hope you enjoy the xm brochure! And ill be in touch for more xantia advice after the rust treatment arrives this week. [haha easily bribed you see, all part of my plan muh ha ha  ]

Shortly afterwards I suggested sacrilege by suggesting a 1.6 110bhp xantia...Jim doesn't appear to like 1.6 hdi engines all ill say is: 60 mpg at 'motorway speeds' all the way home.

Obviously big thanks to Tim, Nigel and numerous unnamed volunteers for their hard work. And I wasn't going to say anything but as Franklin has on the visa forum. Can we now please 'stick' to this site. I/we cant be the only one to think it beneficial to know where a national rally will be each year. It would help it grow too as it becomes established. Not to mention its common practice for the other events I attend throughout the year. Just glad to know im not alone in thinking this! Just a thought....maybe we should all write in!?

more photos here: http://s738.photobucket.com/user/Citroe ... eed%20park" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

thanks
