Just bought this imported car that turned out not having auto driving-lights, which I found by every lorrie and many others flashing lights at me, witch I do myself when I meet idiots driving dangerously around in totally unluminated cars!
So how do I get the drivinglights to always be on when engine are running? But preferably not when the staringmotor are turning (can be below -40 up here, and then all the juice are need for the starter to get the engine going!)
I have considered to mount led-driving lights, but they must be dimmed or turned off when the original lights are on due to Norwegian laws. So I guess auto drivinglights are the best option. Just need to know how to rewire?
Best regards Gunnar,

Some LED ones get hooked into the headlights, so when the headlights are on the LEDs are off. For example the Philips LED DayLight 4. Though generally any that have a control unit will have this feature.
I'm guessing the Espace doesn't have automatic headlights when it's dark? My C5 has that and black electrical tape was put over the sensor so the car always thought it was dark, so the lights were on all the time

Thers no sensor on my car. Think that option came on espace mk4. Will look into LEDs. But since the only place to mount them are really low, I think I would prefer to get the original lights automatic. The higher the lights are the more visible u get. I don't care much about the LED-looks. Familycar, so safety first!

Mekonomen do a kit for wiring the headlights to always be on when the engine is on (not sure whether it applies to Key On Engine Off though). I did originally buy one for the mechanic to fit, but they suggested the tape option instead.. Think it was around 220SEK. Not sure if there's a mekonomen near you though.Axa wrote:Thers no sensor on my car. Think that option came on espace mk4. Will look into LEDs. Believe it's this:
http://www.mekonomen.se/bil/for-proffs/ ... ik-pa698sv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
My Swedish isn't very good, but believe it's the right thing. (the mechanic never said it was wrong, and understood what we were after with it
, mekonomen also said it was the right thing. )
