Lexia query.

Unread post by Gibbo2286 »

On my 2002 C5 2.0 HDI the temperature and oil temperature gauges move to mid way up the scale when the ignition is turned on and read at the top of the scale when the car's up to running temperature, the car doesn't overheat, is this something that Lexia can reset?

Yea, and its a solid state unit. Easyest thing to do is swap the whole clock assembly however BE WARNED: Your milage will shoot up, as the car then adds the two milages that are stored in the speedo together...

You might be able to remove the speedo and swap it into the replacment binnacle pod before fitting it.

Theres no screws either, they useually just pop out with a bit of Gentle Presuasion

Not quite Paul, it selects the highest recorded mileage of the two and displays that.

Thanks guys, I didn't think it would but was worth asking, I've had the panel out a couple of times to sort out stepper motors, maybe something I've affected in the process.

BBA Reman offer a repair service for them.
Nver had any dealings with them so couldn't vouch for their service but their name does pop up fairly regularly and I haven't heard any complaints.
