Hi all,
I want to change the fuel filter on my 2001 Xantia HDi 110 but I don't know which type I need, I hear there are 2 sorts. My filter housing has two connections on the top, not three if that makes a difference.
Any ideas?
2.0 HDi Xantia, which fuel filter?

I cannot help, but I will bet a cuppa tea that if you post the last 8 digits of your VIN number somebody will then be able to use that and let you know the right filter.

But I CAN Help!!
If theres TWO pipes on top opposite sides of a 22mm Hex head type top, then its the Bosch type filter with a funny shape one end... these filters only go in one way, and one way up..
The other type filter is circular at both ends, and the filter house has an electrical plug on it, and the top edge of the house unscrews... These are RARELY if ever fitted to Xantias, Im yet to see a Xantia wih one fitted..
THIS IS the "Funny" shaped filter I meant which goes in the filter house with ONLY TWO pipes on the top...

I DON'T win! My bet was that if you posted the last 8 digits of your VIN somebody could help. Citroenxm sorted out your problem without the VIN number!

It's OK. You can have a cuppa anyway.

If its any help on a 406 the one without the multiplug was the most common, on these we fitted just the filter element.
The other type with the plug, a rarer fitment. I seem to remember we had to fit the whole unit for these as there was no element available back then (like the 1.4HDi it was the "whole lot") it may of changed since then though.
