Really odd, I don't know the removal process for those assuming its the 'C' clip behind the glass, surprising they got them out without breakage , unless the mirror itself was damaged / taken. :( not good either way.

Someone stole the factory fitted DT front fogs / driving lights from the 205 at one point, the strange thing was I'd replaced the bolts as they were corroded (factory is 16mm nut that likes to just pull the stud out if I remember correctly) with a conventional 13mm nut / washer / bolt affair. They were removed in the middle of the night one weekend when it was parked without any damage to the plastic bumper so they'd not torn them out (seen that before they can be pulled clean off in some cases as the plastic at the bumper bottom is thin) still slightly surprised at that too as they must of had a socket set with them as you had to take the lenses out to hold the nut still after my 'repair'.

It's amazing what 'people' steal, a school friend of my wife (it was many years ago) had the drivers door stolen off their Escort during the night.

yes the glass is held in with the large wire C clip, mind you the N/S mirror hood was already broken off, just lay'ed in place to make it look intact,

after the event the C cip for that side was laying on the widscreen,

how many months has it been sitting there untouched ( quite a few )
