Hi,
New to forum hoping I get some much needed help.
Yesterday the car broke down, 2005 2.0hdi multispace. I have looked over it all morning checking plugs , fuses etc.
The car turns over but will not start. It does not have a lift pump in tank.siemens. the stop light on the dash stays on.
The display isnow showing eco mode.
Any ideas...
Many thanks

Does it have plenty of fuel in it ? Don't trust the gauge btw. Also is it the correct fuel ?
Did the car cut out when driving or just fail to start ? Don't worry about Eco mode, it's not a fault, the car will come out of Eco mode when you get it started.

Thanks for the reply. The car cut out whilst driving. There is nearly half a tank of fuel, I got under car and gave the car a shake just to check. The car does not buzz for a few seconds when ignition is turned. I dont know whether it should as it has no in tank pump.there was no sign that it was going to stop , just red stop light came on and cut out.
Re: berlingo hdi non starter
Hi, checked all the fuses in underbonnet panel. All looked good.
Re: berlingo hdi non starter
Would a fuel filter cause cut out with no warning and red stop light appear?
Re: berlingo hdi non starter
Probably a bit out of my depth if the panel is the problem. Would diagnostics show exactly what is wrong?
Re: berlingo hdi non starter
Thanks for the advice. Im going to get it tested on the diagnostic machine some time next week.hoping that will give me the answer and I can get it sorted.

Went and towed it to local garage today. On the way tried to bump start it and it fired into life. Took it for a 10 mile run and it didnt miss a beat. Any ideas??
Hoping its going to ok now, but still a bit worried it could cut out again.
