I have a copy. The first time I read it I was laughing so hard I needed the toilet 4 times in an hour.

The footnotes are hilarious and I quite like the comments about Milton Keynes

Here is a list of Neil Gaimans' stuff on Kindle. I personally thought Neverwhere brilliant and weird. You have London Above (the London we know), and London Below (populated by people who fall through the cracks). You have an Earl, who holds court on a London Underground train, there is a blacksmith named Hammersmith, and the Black Friars who guard an important item.

I have it in paperback, and would be more than happy to lend it to you. If you like it, you could then get it for the Kindle, but if you don't then you haven't wasted any money.

How are you getting on with 'Neverwhere', Jim? If you are enjoying it, I will dig out 'Good Omens' for you to try (OK, it's a collaboration between Pratchett and Gaiman), but there are very clever twists (such as Pestilence retiring, muttering about penicillin, only for Pollution to take over!).

I'm desperately trying with it James but it's not looking good. I keep on falling back to works of non-fiction such as Tom Rolt's Victorian Engineering..

A yes, Neverwhere has not gripped me but I've not given up just yes  I'm not used to this fictional stuff...
