BREMBO BRAKES

Do you fit discs and Brembo brakes with the Peugeot 406 coupe V6 on the Peugeot 406 coupe 2.0 16v?

They should fit if you get the calliper brackets as well, but I would imagine you would have to move up to a 16" wheel. If it's the normal 283mm brakes that you have already, it would be cheaper and more effective to stick with the 15" wheel and look at some performance orientated pads. There is a good choice in that size, EBC, Ferrodo etc.

You will definitely have to fit V6 wheels to accommodate the huge calipers ,also I think hubs as well?? As said,not worth all the expense. I`ve never upgraded 406 brakes. In "my boy racer days" I fitted grooved & vented Torox dics&pads to a Mi16x4.I was so impressed with the braking I still use them today on my Merc`SL.

Think the only thing I've ever done brake upgrade wise on any car was fit EBC pads. I've got a car that effectively has supercar performance at the moment, and it's only got 290mm vented discs and twin-pot calipers on it, along with motor-factor sourced "normal" pads. It still stops.

The Brembo name is a big attraction to people, one interesting source of parts might be the Peugeot 607 with 330mm Lucas brakes (cheaper to buy used, than Brembo) but I'm not sure if they would be simple to fit.
