Testing the water.

Unread post by handyman »

I'm interesting in buying another Activa, ideally a late Mk1, in Dante Red with a sunroof or a late Mk2. Prefer original car with no rust or repair damage, defective mechanicals not an issue. Failing that, wot you got? I'm in no rush so willing to wait for the right car to appear, just testing the water.

Just saw the date. I doubt if it's still there.

Yorns too early Jim! Looking for a 97/98 version, would be on an R plate. I can wait or I'll go to France and get a left-hooker.

Its not to say I would not accept another one, whether it was a Mk1 or Mk2. I am open to offers regarding age and colour, except GREEN.

So you'd rather have an unknown car than perhaps the best standard Activa in the UK (If it were for sale)...

Very strange.

Mike, I'm not sure I know what you're on about. All things mechanical are unknown quantities and as Jim isn't selling his Activa, I cannot see the relevance of your fatuous comment!

A mate of mine is selling his Activa that he's had for 2 years.
I've known the car for 4 years and sold it twice now, both times to friends.
It's silver, with standard cloth interior, N-reg, with sunroof and a/c, 108k miles.
Recently had new tyres and all ten spheres (Citroen genuine ones), new rear ram, electrovalve, plus more
Previously had been well looked after by a Citroen Specialist that I know in Kent, then B.L.Autos for the last 4 years.
MOT until 14th March 2103, but will be taken for MOT before sale (believe nothing needs doing)
New silver bumper trim inserts & side door trims
I have pics, so can email.

And it's taxed until the end of Feb, so 2 weeks to drive it away!

Strikes me that would be a very nice Activa to acquire Shaun...

How much is the asking price?

This car will have been seen at several rallies, ICCCR, CX/XM, DS rally.
Asking price is £995 with new MOT.
I drove it at Harrogate last Summer and it was spot on, everything worked properly, suspension all nice and tight without any rattles, clonks or jiggles.
The only thing missing was a V6 from the engine room..........(sorry, couldn't resist) :)

Hi Shaun, if you can put a V6 in it, with a manual box, for that money, I'll take it, unseen!

SWMBO was remarkimg the other evening about the loss of her Activa in the fire, so I thought, if I could find another one for her, it would be a pleasant surprise. [-o< =D> She's driving the V6 at the mo, until I can get to the bottom of the misfire with her MK2 1.8i.

I'm still trying to track down my stolen V regd one, MK2 dark blue with a cream leather interior. Still shows on DVLA!
