will these need activation to use as aux in on stereo?
tried phone & mp3 player, no luck,checked lead is ok by plugging into home hi-fi.

C5 III glovebox phono sockets?
currently '06 C5 2.0 HDi auto estate Tip run and France trekker - well should be!! occupied currently by '10 Superb DSG 170 elegance- whistles and bells that work

On mine (RNEG variant) you have to press the Music button to get the menu and enable the AUX input there which will then give the option for selecting AUX as one of the sources.

all sorted now
AUX was already activated i assume as it showed as scrolling through.
clicked when connecting plug so i knew something should work.
cranked the volume & hey presto! -sounds! forgot that normally i only have the volume low on the mp3 player
