timing belt

hi all water pump leaking on my c5 2.0 hdi any pit falls i need to look out for when changing timing belt and water pump cheers in advance mike

change the tensioner aswell and if you have the dosh do the aux belt and tensioner aswell

just make sure you get quality stuff then it will be good for 80000 to 100000 miles before it will need doing again

cheers one day i do 3000 miles a year in car so that should last forever lmao are gsf parts ok thats who i normaly use

If your HDi engine is the same as the one in my Xantia, Citroen have a replacement interval of 80,000 miles or 10 years, whichever happens first. As you probably have to remove the auxilary belt (and parts) to replace the timing belt, it makes a lot of sense to fit all new parts so you don't have to worry about them for quite a while.

i think at that mileage they will be fine not heard any bad reports about them. youll be onto your next car long before you need to do them again lol

GSF timing belt kits are INA, kits, these are the people who make them for the manufacturers, so basically oe quality.
