I have discovered that there may be a possibility that I can swap the clock display (2 line version) in my 2004 Peugeot 206 S, 1.4HDI for a fuel computer display from a GTI/GLX/High Line vehicle.
I have also seen a "you tube" clip of someone achieving this on a 307 but it didnt say if this was on a petrol or diesel.
He begins by removing the end of the comm 2000 unit to swap the "non functional" end of the wiper stalk for a functional button (with additional copper contact) and then set's the BSI computer to identify the clock display as present before configuring it etc.
Just to save me torching my car before embarking on this
I have already removed the button off the end of the wiper stalk and can confirm that both circuit boards look alike!
Had anyone tried this? what parts did you use?
I am guessing that the correct display will be needed first "type B", not sure of suitable part number yet. Will additional wiring/plugs be required if this is possible and finally the end button for comm2000 unit (preferably from a scrap comm2000 unit) and at its worst possible an unpdate from Peugeot?
Please can anyone help in French Car Forum Land!!!!
