Diagnosis of a noisy tickover is worn freewheel alternator clutch. I know these can be replaced but seems simpler to replace the entire alternator as it has to come out anyway. Found the number on the alternator 96 408 78780 and name Bosch. I think the number is the Peugeot part number not Bosch's. Now there are various suppliers, as usual, for the 406 150 amp alternator and I am wondering if they will all fit or do I have to stick with Bosch? Thanks in advance for advice,
