While I had the music on ... did not feel much, but I seen the temperature gauge drop all the way down and the engine make a humming noise... and then the temperature gauge returned back to normal (middle).
I done it once more ... after a few seconds and then ... not done it at all.
The gauge does seem to like to flactuate sometime between the half way ... and quarter.
Will it be rectified by replacing a temperature sensor ... somewhere in the engine bay??
Also, although I do not think it is relevant I topped up with coolant the expansion tank last week, before I top it up it was halfway between the min and max, so it was not critical by any point of view.
Your opinions?
did the engine stop or any warning messages about over heating? had a similar thing on a 2 litre hdi.. needle was over heating one min then nothing.. It turned out to be the temp sensor on the thermostat housing... not sure where it is on the 2.2 though ..
