Xantia rear sphere's How many ?
Hi Guy's, As some of you know I have done my front sphere's including the accumulator. I would like to do the rear's now. How many are there on a Xantia estate. Is there 3 like the front or more I'm slightly confused after doing a search.

Yup, three. One on each suspension arm and one in the middle. However the one in the middle has a small pipe connected to it. The hint is to hold the pipe nut and turn the sphere off it. Not the other way round because it is likely to be siezed on the pipe and turning the nut would shear the pipe off.
While you are there check the height control linkage for freedom and grease it well.
Usual warning. Depressurise system and don't work under the car without at least ramps or stands in place.
Well worth doing, R

There may be 4 spheres depending on model. If its not a VSX(hydractive) then you have 3.4 if its a hydractive. All the advice i got off this forum was to support the rear with stands or ramps, then try to slacken the spheres a tiny bit while STILL pressurised. Then lower/depressurise.As the rears can be a right pain to get off.
I didn`t have to do mine in the end.
