Any good courier to recommend?

Unread post by ecohouse1 »

Hi

I am looking to collect a recent e-bay item from England to get to Scotland.

Anyone recommend any company at a good price who picks up from a home address to delivers?

Cheers

depends on size and weight this system/company are very good but limitations on size and weight

http://www.collectplus.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

the sender check the nearest store in the system by entering there post code that is convenient to them ( on there daily route and time that suites them ), pays online and prints the label out,
packages it up and drops it in to the selected store,

the receiver selects the store that suites them for collection, by entering there post code, and tells the sender as they need to enter the store delivery details at the booking stage,

then the receiver collects the package once it arrives at the selected store in the system,

there is also tracking available

I've used interparcel a couple of times before, rates are good lots of choice and quite easy to use. However I find the words "good" and "courier" don't really go together normally

If you chose a courier, do a review check on t'Net to see how good they really are. Many seem to fall down on customer service. I would avoid anything beginning with Y.... and one with parcels and 2 in the name, but that is personal experiences. DHL and UPS are up to the mark, but you will pay. You could also try Shipley, which is a system where carriage companies bid for your business.

Just remember, cheapest is not always the best.

My favourite which I've used lots of times is MyHermes. Parcels2go act as their agent, or you can use them direct. Relaible and reasonably priced.

Try Shipley

All you do is join up, post the ebay link and where you want it delivered to. People then bid for your business. You can accept or decline their bids.

Avoid Yodel.

I always use http://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, sent loads of stuff, often laptops with them, and never had a problem.

+1

Parcel Monkey is the one I never had any issues with. I even send bicycles through them. Internationally.
