I could not believe my eyes on Saturday evening, I had popped out in the V6 for some fuel and coming towards me was a silver XM estate! P reg I think it was, I drove round to where I thought it would be parked (Aldi) and its a manual VSX, though with no engine badging, it could well be a 2.0 16v. A bit tatty and rusty on the rear arches, but a very nice thing to see.

Its not often I see a car older than 2000 around here, let alone an XM and an estate at that 8-)

A very tidy ZX at B&Q, gone by the time I came out and went for the camera.

A Xantia Estate in superb nick (V-reg) seen once parked at some roadworks on the way to work, seemingly owned by one of the contractors, seen again this evening travelling in the opposite direction. Both times passed too quickly to get any details other than it is Dante red.

Saw loads of interesting cars in France last weekend. A good 15/20 Renault Safranes, 4 605s, 1 XM, loads of 405s and Renault 5s, couple of Renault 4s, a 504, CX and finally a DS on the motorway. I've got to sort through my photos, I'll upload a few at some point.

We're planning on going over again in a couple of weeks, then maybe again for a couple of days over the Christmas holidays. I think France might have left an impression on me... :-D

A Renault 4, its not often you hear about one of those still surviving now. A B reg will be a GTL? Not the better looking of R4s but the most powerful with a 1100cc engine, a real shame they got rid of the umbrella handbrake for a conventional one.

Work car park today, ignoring the Fiesta we have a Berlingo, XM, Xantia, Picasso and a C4!

It's the little things!

My colleague with the Xantia used to have a flower power one before he went off trying other cars. After 4 years the charm of the Xantia won him and his missus hearts and he's back driving one again!
