Ahh, that's fantastic Kev :-D Open all Hours is one of my very favourite ones, right up there with Porridge, Yes Minister and The Good Life. Felicity Kendall still gives me a twitch...

I reckon though that Ronnie Barker has to have been the very best ever and when teamed up with David Jason, well... Magic!

Xac, if that lot does not make you feel better, go for some old episodes of the Sweeny and enjoy the old 70s motors in it :)

Aye, agreed...

And for good comfort listening, nothing beats the Hitch-Hikers Guide To The Galaxy...

But you told me that when you're feeling down all you need is a listen of any spice girls album.

 Doesn't she just 8-)

Time for a cold shower methinks...

Seriously, my all-time favourite film and as a rule I'm not into horror films at all. And I don't love it just because of Britt Ekland's antics in it either but I must admit it does add a certain something to it...

Interestingly, the girl in that scene was not actually Britt. They used a body-double as Britt was pregnant at the time...

Yes it was the landlady's daughter.
Britt was apparently horrified when she found out.
Personally I was horrified at the blatant breaking of the 4th wall (Britt kept forgetting not to stare at the camera) but nowhere near as horrified as when I saw how awful the Nicolas Cage version of the film was!

I'm sure that a "carstuckgirls" DVD would light a few fires here.

Jenny has been driving well, ordered her a new battery yesterday as she's taking two goes of the glow plugs to start, she's always been a slow turn over except when the booster unit is used.
Tried charging the battery but the charger is not happy with it so while it holds enough charge to start even after a couple of days standing, the voltage is down a fair bit.
Also treated her to a new radio, the old one's display was nearly unreadable and most of the lights have gone, not to mention that the sound quality wasn't what it should be.
Halfrauds had a £100 panasonic knocked down to £60, and it happened to be in store at Wellingborough, so I pootled up there over lunch and fitted it. Much better :)
Just need to get an adaptor cable so the steering controls work (or not bother).
Still need to find time to swap her bonnet and O/S/R door, and track down the cause of the air bag light.

Was in London today, managed to spend most of the journey with a beautiful blond woman, even got a kiss goodbye when I got off at Blackfriars (Danielle had a meeting in the city).

Fitted a nice new Bosch 610Ah battery to Jenny when I got home, she's now starting much better.
Also chopped one of the wires to the broken bonnet switch and that seems to have done the trick with the alarm.
