Xantia bonnet switch

Unread post by Xaccers »

Jenny's bonnet switch has snapped its clip so I can't set the alarm.
Is it a push to make or push to break switch?
IE can I just cut it off or do I need to cut and solder the wires together to make the car think the bonnet is always closed?

The boot switch, that does the same job is a push to break so just pulling the plug should do the trick Xac.

Still however you look at it, it's one or the other. You have a 50% chance of getting it right first time

Remove the grill, it's under the o/s bonnet catch.
As the catch is pressed down its bottom edge pushes a button on the top of the switch.
