From here - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/mo ... od-DS.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - and you can see it was the concept for the DS3 Orly Kiely edition.Wacky ... DS3 special was degigned by Irish milliner Orla Kiely
LIKE me, you’re probably asking who Orla Kiely is.
If you’re not up on your air-kissing fashionistas, Kiely is a world-renowned Irish designer who started on hats and has now branched out into prints, handbags and kitchenware.
Now there’s the Kiely-designed DS3. Citroen have gone head-to-head against Mini on personalisation — and this new version is the most outrageous of all.
I was the first journalist to drive the wackiest DS3 ever last week and I felt like I’d been transformed back into the 70s.
Never mind Kiely, when I saw it I almost keeled over.
Thankfully the flowery body print only makes it onto the roof not the entire car like the concept I drove — and there are four designs to choose from.
They all feature Kiely’s signature stem or acorn patterns, coloured door mirrors, stem print rear window graphics and black or white 17in alloys. A Kiely stem graphic also features on the rear tailgate.
Inside, there are stylish leather seats with Kiely-embossed multi-coloured headrests, stem or acorn print carpet mats, a colour contrasting dashboard and door handle inserts in cream or brown.
Under the bonnet, it’s based on the DStyle HDi 90 manual, which gets kit including Bluetooth and USB connectivity, with a fuel and CO2-efficient powerplant. Only 500 will be built and it is on sale now, priced from £16,000.
If you really want to stand out from the crowd, this DS3 is for you.
did it you also think of someone barfed all over the car?CitroJim wrote:That DS3 does not float any boats for me at all
1.4 but uses that /petrol' stuffCitroenmad wrote:Must be a 1.4HDi C3 is it Steve?
I can confirm that the previous C3s are far from the worst riding superminis They can't match the previous Citroëns though, Saxos and AXs rode well but handled great.
