Indeed, may I echo Craig's comments very strongly Mick. Sorry I never got a chance to have a quick natter at DSM. Your Traction Decap is absolutely stunning :-D

After todays cancellation of the Great Yorkshire Show (Harrogate - same venue as ICCCR) due to the state of the car parking areas - is there anything to worry about for the event next month? :?:

The carpark/camping field is looking a bit wet after the weekend:

I guess this is the problem faced when the ICCCR comes to good old sunny England

Eek! I wonder if the ICCCR will be cancelled? Won't be the ICCCR Committee that decide it I'd think, more the Showground Owners as they won't want to mess it up any more that it already is...

A good reason to not have booked tickets yet - a natural phenomena like this shift in the jetstream has caused havoc. I can't see certain owners of certain Citroen's ploughing there way though the 'fields'.

Should have bought that Xantia 4X4 Buffalo - looks like we'll need a 4X4 at this rate...

I was thinking it might well get cancelled too, that would be a huge dissapointment! I hope it doesnt happen.

I have booked a hotel for the week, so another reason I hope its not cancelled

The only Citroens that will be able to attend at this rate are the half-track Kegresse

Gosh, all that mud. It'll be about as much fun as a day at the dentist...

Perhaps there’s still time to move it to Little Horwood...

FYI, from the Visa Forum:
impne wrote:I was at this with work, 3 hours to get in  no problem parking with the Impreza though :D proper 4x4

These are the parking areas generally only used for Yorkshire show, every other event as far as I know use the normal areas.

There are a number of good size car parks and a couple of good size halls but I assume these will have stands in them.

I would guess most people showing cars will be fine and will be in the hard standing car parks, I can possibly see a issue with not show cars? they may put the park and ride on for visitors leaving hard standing for show? I would guess it would be still on

If anyone has decided they don't fancy the idea of camping, the Premier Inn 'Leeds City West' has has free rooms and is £29 a night, bar the Saturday which is £34. I know of a few people staying there, including me!

If anyone wants to stay in a Travelodge should there be one nearby, I have a £29 voucher for one. It's a refund I got from complaining after my parents in law had a rough stay in the one in Bury.

£20 to anyone on here, and the money will go to a good cause! (St Luke's hospice in Northwich) You'll have to log into my travelodge account and "book in another persons name" to use it, but you can do that..
