Xant?a Instrument panel gauges - Air Condition

My Xant?a*s ?nstrument panel gauges all dropped to zero position and at the same time air condition stopped working. Air condition button green light was off and the cabin heater blower was also off. Th?s happened while the engine was on and while driving. Does anybody know the cause of this strange behaviour?

Since the fuel was below quarter level I dec?ded to fill ?t. On the way to the gas station (dead gauges) airbag light started blinking and after a while all gauges woke up and a?r condition started. After this air bag light went off.

instrument panel:
- working: indicators and hazard lights were functioning
- not working: gauges, trip meter, mileage counter

Functioning: Head lights, indicators, engine and fuel pump

Any ideas?

Loose fuse holder ?

Checked fuse F7 in cabin side (20 A) which was not blown, just replaced it to eliminate fuse possibility. No change
At the moment it is working but still do not know the cause of the problem.

I was sort of thinking of the pins in the holder being loose, wiggling the fuse about although was just an initial guess / thought.

I had an odd thing where the rev counter sometimes wouldn't work. After I fixed the LHM pump leak, which was dripping onto the alternator, it never happened again.

Wiring BEHIND the fuse box!!??

Lower the fuse board and check behind there for burnt out wires, loose connections.. etc etc..
