XM 2.1 auto Warning Light

Unread post by Robin.M »

Hi all

I have a 2000 reg 2.1 VSX diesel auto estate with 96K (had the car for 3 years) and the warning light for fuel injection / ignition systems has been showing for a period of time. It only shows intermittently, but when on - it stays on until you restart the engine The car appears to run just the same and I have taken the car to three Cit specialists but no help.

Any thoughts would be good

Any picture or an idea of the warning light?? It could be the "Water In Fuel" warning lamp, which wont affect the actual running of the car..

Can you or do you know how to post pictures on here?? It may help us more...

It is the Engine Auto-Diagnostic light - it looks like it has the letter 'K' in the centre of it. I will take a picture and look to post it

Thats ok now you have described it.. what you really need then is a lexia diagnostic session as theres a number of things on the later semi electronic 2;1 engines that could be puttin the light on...

where in the country are you.. theres a number of us dotted around with lexia kits..

Could be the needle lift sensor in the injector but as Citroenxm says a Lexia session is the best way to check.
