revs

Have just cleaned throttle housing as idle was a bit irattinc but now it revs at about 3000 all the time.
any ideas, thanks in advance

Recently had the same problem with my Xsara, would rev but not idle properly. I have cleand all the usual suspects with carb cleaner including the idle speed valve. Double checked all electric plugs and my Xsara seems to now have settled down. I have a sneaking suspision that it'll come back but I think it may be the temp sender to the ECU.
