Steering wheel airbag
Hi all my steering wheel is slightly out of alignment and i would like to remove it
can i just take it off i just worried about the air bag going off ,any advise much appreciated

Disconnect the battery and leave it for at least a few minutes for the circuit to
completely discharge before proceeding and attempting to remove the airbag or
its wiring as apparently, backup power supply in it's control unit could result in
an accidental deployment and possible injury. Not sure about this 'latent' power
myself but it always pays to be careful!! lol

It's also very important that the airbag is not subject to any shocks during removal/refitting. Also store it somewhere safe if it's going to be off the car for any period of time. I normally take them indoors and pop them in a quiet corner..

Is it definitely the steering wheel that is the issue and not the wheel alignment being done without centering the steering wheel first?

Rughtho - I see where addo is coming from - SEO is search engine optimisation which is all about web links

Yes Xac, it is wheel it's sitting at about two o'clock rather than 3 i find it a bit annoying, going to do tomorrow, thanks for all the help.
