XUD 1.9 td bosch

Unread post by oscar »

Hi my fuel pump's found a new way to empty it's content's? it seams like it's comming from round the top end on pump looks like a gasket below throttle shaft and bit's area.
it's been a bit lumpy on cold tick over till warmed up.i run on WVO or straight VO.
Ive not been using car much for last year or so.so been sitting around
Spoke to diesel place near me said they have the gasket but thought would be shaft leaking from but i saw it round sides of pump and didn't look like it had come from top/shaft

The other thing is what is the size on MK1 96/97 xantia diesel fuel lines please as my rubber ducky fuel hand pump thing is getting/gone soft/died now so need to replace had a look for them but have many sizes of internal diameters?.

Many thanks in advance

You can buy a seal replacement kit for About £10 for the Bosch pump.

Seem to remember picking a bulb hand pump up from the scrappies came off a peugeot and fitted fine.
If your running veggie through it and sat it around for awhile the veggie eats the seals so you will need a complete seal kit.
Not expensive but time consuming.
Which reminds me must order one for my spare pump ready to change over when it starts chucking veggie on the engine instead of inside it :-D .
