Xantia S2 - Remote Not Working

Well I am now the proud owner of a Xantia Hdi Exclusive which is in much better nick than the last one I bought

Couple of minor minor issues, one being that the remote's do not work.

Done a search on here and found that a Lexia session might be the order of the day, but just wondered about the transponder part of it???

Basically I have a working key that was from the previous purchase that is now being broken. Examined the current key, and both microswitches have broken off. (That might be one of the reasons why its not working then)

Taken the "working" gubbins from key number one, and added the key blade from key number 2 for the new car and reassembled.

What needs to be done now???

Aware remote wont work as per above, but presume the key wont work either as all the assoiated electronics are not in the key. Can Lexia also programme the transponder.

((Have not looked yet, but presuming I have the 4 digit code in the service book to allow the above))

Basically I have a key that looks fine, with the correct key blade which needs to be programmed to the car....... I think.

As always any advice would be great.

Well just checked after the football, and I do possess the imobilser code.

So believe just after someone with a Lexia to programme the imobiliser and remote locking.

When I got mine, both keys had a broken off button. Found the easiest thing to do was buy a 2nd hannd key off ebay, take the buttons off and solder one to each of my keys. No having to reprogram keys ,

Dave, Send me your "Original" PLIP board and both switchs and Ill gladly solder them back on for you! It should work then. I have sucessfully soldered a fair few of these now.

As long as after swapping the key bits over and car still starts, you'll will need a lexia session to re programme the locking...
