Robert hates Activas, he is notorious for buying them and scrapping them for spares.. he's over in NI, so I doubt he's seen it yet..

No, I'm not buying it, nor have I seen it!

Its too far away. It if was on this side of the sea I would buy it!

You'll have to admit guys that this car is a very worthy candidate for breaking and does nothing for the image of Xantias in general let alone Activas.

You're quite right Robert.

If anyone wants to go halves or 3rds on it.... I want some bits, but not all of them. Don't need any hydraulics, just some body panels wheels, and the steering wheel..

Right, This is my plan I'm going to meet DeamXM at the weekend and get a ride in his Activa and hopefully he'll have the time to point out a few things to look at when checking an activa. Then on Monday I'm going to waste a small fortune getting up to stoke on trent (3hours there) and have a look at this Activa. If it seems alright I'll be buying it. If its a mess then I'll try and let you know what I think and I'll take a few photos and post them here.

... wish me luck .... of course DeanXM might sell me his :-D

I phoned him today, he now has a laguna for sale so he's a trader.

I think that I had a lucky escape, unless someone else from here bought it.

So I'm back on the hunt for an Activa

I was thinking your Dad has got a spare tct engine for an Activa, pretty sure the MK1 down by the estate is a tct.

It was great to meet you and your Activa today Dean, I really did appreciate it. I think it has confirmed that the car I want is an Activa.

One thing that I will warn you about is that my Dad is talking about scrapping his large collection of XM's as my Mum is starting to get VERY irate about a landscape littered with old Citroen XM's. Do you think the best place to advertise them is in the Citroen Forum on here or do you know of anywhere else that would be worth offering them for spares, instead of going to the crusher :-(

See you soon,
Pete.
