'02 106Diesel Mystery plug.
I've noticed there's a greenish two pin plug with a red and a pink wire just flapping about. Its right next to the two that are plugged into the fuel pump (I'm aware these are for the immobiliser and the other one is either advance or the egr control)
What's this green plug for ? , its not that dirty inside given its facing downwards so I don't think its been unplugged forever, but you never know.
I could not find an easy reference to check it out.
Its the late 2002 model with the Bosch pump and the large ECU atop the battery, these don't have the waxstat cold start cable either (and the thermostat housing is not drilled to accept one either)
Pics to follow shortly...

Pics...
A shot of the side of the pump, however at the bottom of this pic you can see the green plug with its pink / red wires:

And a pic of the mystery plug itself:

I'd not seen the later units with this setup, there's no load lever switch either for some reason.

No fast idle cable:

Interestingly there's no drilling in the housing for one to be fitted, usually they have a blanking plug but no not this time:

Random engine pic:

It does sound fine when its warm, when its cold it sounds really bad (over advanced to excess) even for this unit.

Re: Mystery plug
I think this is OK spoke to someone else with one now. That plug is for the earlier pumps I think (ign feed and EGR) which is convenient if its dearmoured I guess as there's a ready 12v supply available.
