Started getting fumes in car, unless I put air on re-circulate.
Tonight I took engine top covers off to discover what looks like, blowing from around injector, opposite end to gearbox.
How bad is this.
Sorry, engine is 2.2 hdi

You will need to remove the injector, clean all the crap out, recut the seat with a reamer, and rebuild wit new seals. Not too serious, but not a DIY job if you haven't got the tools in my opinion.

keep us posted, would like to see how it gets fixed in case it happens to mine. Did check mine the other day and all was clean around the injectors.

Its at garage as we speak, they are going to clean, recut injector seat and fit thicker washer. washer will be in tommorrow and I should be able to pick car up after work
