Re: Modding my Xantia.
I have to hold my hand up here and say that I am no fan of modding whatsoever.
On the other hand, it is your car and you should be free to do with it as you please.
You can't please all of the people all of the time.
I'm currently driving a modded C5 and hate it (you would too)

Don't know of any companies myself although Dean's got a lovely Activa that's been modified:

Agreed Franklin - the exception that proves the rule maybe.
Dean's certainly looks great.
Very tastefully executed.

Thats what i want mine to look like it is the facelift model year 2000 2.0HDi . Just looking for the side skirts and spoiler (mine didn't come with one gutting) when i got the car the owners had fallen out of love with it I'm just bringing her in to the 21st century without loosing the xantia unique appeal and cornering ability lol.

Re: Modding my Xantia.
Generally I don’t' do mods and I'm proud I have three very standard Xantias but...

Having driven this particular car I have to agree very much. It's silly grin inducing, just as Chris570's Activa ismyglaren wrote:Agreed Franklin - the exception that proves the rule maybe.

Engine fine but body? There's only a few car companies in the world with a better designer than Bertone! Don't run a Series 1!

Why not? Should we all run a Series 2 then Roger?Rhothgar wrote:Don't run a Series 1!
I'm sure you mean 'ruin' and I quite agree. The Italian styling houses are the tops when it comes to timeless and beautiful car design. I'm never sure if Bertone or Pininfarina are my top favourites. I think Pininfarina have it - just.

Re: Modding my Xantia.
I have to say that I don't like the S2 body changes. The 'improvements' to the front spoil the sharpness of the original design.
2012 Subaru Forester - capable but no magic carpet
2011 Grand C4 Picasso VTR+ 1.6HDi - not missed!
1995 Xantia Estate SX 1.9TD in Vert Vega "The Green Lady" - sadly missed
1998 Xantia 2.1 VXD Estate in Mauritius Blue - R.I.P. (terminal tin-worm)

Re: Modding my Xantia.
I quite agree on this too. I far prefer the S1 shape overall despite running more S2 cars than S1s these daysOld-Guy wrote:I have to say that I don't like the S2 body changes. The 'improvements' to the front spoil the sharpness of the original design.
All I can say is the S2 style does sort of grow on you after a while..
