Removing Xsara front inner wing liners

Unread post by martinm »

Hi, the Mrs' Xsara is doing funny things with the charging so I want to check the belt tension. As per the haynes manual I've removed wheel/jacked up. But I can't figure out how to remove the plastic liner - it has plastic push studs of some sort, but they won't prise out with a flat blade screwdriver, there's no 'inner' peg to pull first...

So what's the secret

Ta,

Martin.

There is no secret, they are bloody tight , and usually break when yo pull them out, Picasso's are the same, its best to have some new ones ready.

Also, buy a trim clip tool - it's sort of like a tack remover. Does a good job.

A little heat adds to "recoverability". Maybe try a hairdrier, as we seldom break the clips here in our warmer climate.
