the 307 im working on came in for me to carry on trying to get to the bottom of the FAP/lipit mode fault,
as it arrived at my workshop it turns out the thrust bearing exploded with not obvious warning that me or the ownerwere aware of,
it was squeeling as it pulled up which before speeking to the owner i thought was a slipping belt,

he said as he turned into my workshop drive the pedel droped to half the hight it had been and there was a smell of clutch,

so it wasnt the DMF failed on this car but we have fitted a new one for the hell of it,

how can all this crap be enviromentaly freindly, what with the cost of manufacturing, and the waste when it has to be replaced,
as a solid flywheel can and usualy out lasts the life of the car,

well on starting this eppic job i had just spent a few day on and off trying to clear aanti poloution fault along with lipit mode on 18mph on the display,

now finnished the clutch/DPF replacement and was planning or running a forced regen of the FAP,

rhe battery has been disconected since last tueday reconected yesterday,
on reconecting the limpit mode has cleared, so i tokk it for a thrash up a 60mph road near me and back, expecting the limpit mode to kick back in but no sign of it, so sent the owner home with it and on his return today still no limpit mode,

it seems either a conecter or vaccum hose might not have been fitted corectly, unless the ECU/BSI has reset itself,
