Had no heater blower in my C5 for the last couple of weeks, so finally decided to do something about it a couple of days ago! Had a quick look at the appropriate fuse, nice and easy to view without even removing it fully, looked perfectly fine.
After much perusing of various forums, a new climate control resistor pack thingy was purchased, fitted, engine on, fans to full, and.... Nothing.
So. Dead blower motor it is then! Wandered down the local scrappy, clambered across various dead hulks of Citroens past and plucked out the fan-shaped heart of a rather squished looking C5. A few minutes rummaging behind the dash of mine, engine on, preparing to bask in the wonderful heatwave and... Nothing.
Randomly thought I would double check the fuse just in case I had popped it while poking around with wires behind the dash, so I pulled it fully out this time, and noticed some muck on the surface of one of the legs. Cleaned it off, refitted, and voila - perfectly working heater fan.
Doh!
