my 95 plate series 2 xm's front suspension mount is breaking up. Does anyone know if the series one part will fit. The dealer lists part numbers for series 1 and 2 .

the series 1 and series 2 have different shaped cones on the end of the piston rod. In addition, Hydractive systems 1 and 2 have different size hydraulic pipe connections to each other AND to non-Hydractive systems. IN ADDITION the right hand and left hand sides are also different . . . have you started to see the number of permutations Citroën has managed to create here??
Here in Sweden, the problem is so common (all that salt on the roads) that one Citroën club member has started manufacturing a repair kit!!(the same link that Anders has named above) (buying new parts from Citroën is expensive and risky - most agents can't tell you which part suits your car and they definately don't have them in stock!
