evening all,
noticed lately the Xant's been sinking over night up front, have a suspision as it got worse after the mot, - had cv boot done by the garage, so having a poke and a [prod around as he said ive an engine oil leak which is odd as the engines dry on the sump area (thoroughly cleaned it up back in the late summer) bit wet around the back edge of the cog box but not too unsure thats not from when i did the fuel filter and spilt a bit of deisel out the filter housing, will get in and investigate when its dryer on the ground,
Anyways, thought whilst i was out there id check the bolt on the front of the pressure reg. made sure it wasnt one of the mounting ones first hahah! now ive turned it 1/4-1/2 a turn and is now tight, should it be Proper tight?? or just tight enough with a spanner???
ta very muchly in advance,
Timmo.

Just nipped up Timmo, no more as it just exerts pressure on a ball to seal a passage.
If the STOP light goes off OK then the bolt is plenty tight enough... Too loose and the stop light will stay on...

Hi Timmo
Just do it up until you feel it seat and then give it a little nip, shouldnt be tight at all really.
EDIT, your fast off the line tonight Jim

If the front is sinking at the front overnight, then it could be the front spheres aren't healthy enough to shut the anti-sink valve.
How much does it sink by?

Front drops right down, corner sphere's appear reletively new genuine items (chevrons stapmped into them) and the rides still good, the accy sphere looks a little older And looks like it has a yellow marker on it as used by breakers yards, guessing thayts the main culprit, but thougjt I'd check the obvious first!!

Check the accumulator health on idle and count the ticks from the regulator, should be over 30 seconds between ticks.
Otherwise it could be one of the struts has a leak so the pressure is bleeding off.
Might be worth checking the return pipes on the resevoir for any excessive flow.
