Renault Fan not working

Hi, I have an M reg 2.0l Laguna.
A couple of days ago the fan stopped working, the air con looks to be ok and the lights on the climate control will turn on (which I assumed meant that the fuses were ok).....
Could this just be a relay problem? Is that common on these cars (recently picked it up)?

the blower fan runs through the fuse box there is also a relay in the region of the fan motor .check the wiring into the fan also make sure the connections are good.
