Australia: Electronics Component Supplier

Post by addo »

For the time being (until they realise how much it is costing them?) Farnell Australia - now called Element 14 - offer free postage on all internet orders.

Yep, any value of order - you could about buy one resistor and it will arrive in a padded bag... Makes things like the blower control trannies extra-affordable.

Element 14 also offer a better priced range of thermally conductive epoxies than some other dealers, for modules where the transistor package is bonded to its heatsink, this is a big consideration.

Farnell do charge postage on small orders her in the UK, but no wonder - if you ordered 100 resistors, they'd arrive in individual ziploc bags, in a padded bag, in a box.
A while ago they supplied me with a single back-ordered triac, which came in its own box of about a cubic foot capacity
