C5 undertray - has anyone made one?

Mine is missing the engine bay undertray and having read some stories about the wheel arch protectors blowing up etc, I'd rather have one made up and installed.
It'd be good if someone can post photos showing how various undertray bits come together.
Depending on how heavy the original is, I could make one up from an ally sheet or glass fibre.

Boristhespie didn't make one but he found a source for a new one. His was the diesel though and I think that petrols have different trays.

Yep - I've read them all. I went through 400+ pages of the Citroen forum - took me a couple of weeks but worth it.
I'm in New Zealand so some spare parts info don't do me much good - but that's my problem....

It's not outrageously dear to get bits sent over; a few of the members here will do it in exchange for costs plus a very modest biscuit.

The key is to not buy one bit a time, but to group purchases into a package which suits several items. With an undertray you might put in drop links, lower arm bushes, track rods, steering gaiters - items of this sort of size/mass can be "parasited" onto the tray with parcel tape. Then post the whole lot using the cheapest UPS (or similar) option.

Mmm I'll have to have a look at the rest of the under tray bits first, to see if any were trimmed off. This will be the last thing I'd spend money on - I'm doing 100kph tops most of the time, occasionally venturing up to 130kph and there abouts...

I bought one last week from a breaker on Ebay for my 2.0L HDI, offered him £20 including postage which he accepted. £2.50s worth of clips from the dealer and my car's now complete.

I could see that making one would be a bit of a faff, too much shape in it for an easy job although it could be done.

Right - I get you now. It's not the place to be right now though, Christchurch being the shaketown NZ

Trademe (NZ's equivalent to ebay - NZ has no ebay, which is absolutely crazy) doesn't have any C5 parts being wrecked at the moment. If you haven't fitted it yet, could you pls take a few photos perhaps? It didnt look too complicated from citroen service parts figure.

I visited NZ twice in recent years both times stayed in Auckland and travelled from there. Mis-timed the last visit, drove down the Pacific coast road, it seemed NZ was closed.

guess what - I checked TM last night, a guy is breaking a C5, I'll check if I can score one for cheap first. I'll let you know how that goes.
