Hi Guys,
after 5 days of Citroen ownership I'm hooked!!
So I'm going to get a Lexia as I'm sure I'll need it at some point. I see loads of them on ebay all for around £100 + p&p and the cheapest I've found elsewhere is in the US for $120 all in.
We all know that they are made in china and sold for a big profit in the west. There are chinese sites that sell direct, some with free postage, like dealextreme.com (but they don't do one) so can anyone send me a link to one of these site to save me a few quid!
Thanks.

Depends on credit card - at least in the UK.addo wrote:However, you get pinged for a currency conversion on the credit card...
I have two. The Nationwide makes no extra per transaction charge; the MBNA card does. The MBNA card also has a slightly worse percentage charge than the Nationwide.
Guess which card I use exclusively when abroad?!
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

The one I bought had a 30 pin one straight to that big round million pin connector, contrary to the photo which clearly shows a 30 to 16 pin adapter. It was ebay item 110735542647. Whether mine happened to be a one off I don't know. Might be worth asking the seller.

Be minded that on the subject of import tax its a complete lottery whether an item get picked up when it goes through customs, I've ordered items from outside the EU and had them arrive without a customs charge being applied but recently got caught on two items, the first took a month to clear UK customs and in addition to the VAT another charge was applied by Parcelforce for them "Paying the VAT for me = Handling" The first charge was £8.50 the second time it was £13.50 as it had been sent 'Priority Delivery', this charge was more than the cost of VAT
. Apparently other couriers do the same thing and may apply higher charges
I searched on the validity of the charge and entered into correspondence with Parcelforce on the subject but met a brick wall, so my advice is to factor in this potential cost when ordering from outside the EU, for me its a lesson well learned.

Got one on alibaba.com for $104 including free shipping from Hong Kong via DHL.
Arrived in 3 days and even has stickers to label it "Made in France" Has a load of cables and a CD with pp2000 and different versions of Lexia and the lot is bundled into a package called Diagbox. Can't get it to work as I haven't got a crack for it yet but I will by this evening.
What I did get free with the CD, and I thought it a nice touch, was 2 viruses. Luckily AVG picked them up and no damage done. So beware of chinese software!!
