Noisy hydraulic pump!

The HP pump on the 1.9TD Xantia is VERY noisy! The car hydraulic circuit pressurises and operates properly with the red light going out promptly after start up - new accumulator fitted and new LHM and filters on Sat morning before CXM & Xant rally. All good but it makes some noise. I think the bearings are beginning to go.

CitroJim was going to offer the 2 pipe Mk1 pump he had but it is from a petrol and uses a bigger pulley. I am hoping to source a replacement single output HP pump for a 1.9 TD, it is of course, a 'sinking' car.

If anyone knows of one available I'd be happy to hear!

It did sound a little bit worn

There was a single output pump on a sinker in my local scrap yard i would be happy to remove and get posted if you get really stuck.

Cheers Dean - might just take you up on that! Any idea (daft question) if the one in the scrappy is good? Might also want the Diesel pump off it too.

no idea of the condition, i knew the car was comlete a few weeks ago, with work and other commitments i wont be able to get down there untill wednesday but i cant see anything sinker specific is going to vanish anytime soon.
I will pm you when i know more.
