DONT Talk utter crap - all of you..

you have been listening to the press and trade far too long...

I did 40k in my PRV V6 12v auto (Supposed to be the LEAST reliable engine of them all) without a problem - apart from useual wear and tear items!

So I dont for one moment beleve the high costs of them at all..

That depends upon what you call wear and tear items, dash displays and window winders for instance?

Ah ha Richard, you SEE!! An advantage of Series ONE cars.... Dash displays DO NOT go unreadable on S1 cars... Window winders have thicker cables on them so last longer... (Xantias can be just as bad with winders) and by the time you get to S1.5 cars (K to M reg) the suspension was also just about sorted aswell with no sticking in hard mode..

Not so sure about that love malarky stuff, Malcolm

Oh Ok Paul, so I can have the electric glitches of a S1, or a S1.5 which almost sorted those out, or a S2 that really did sort the electrics out but introduced dash display and window winder problems. Hmm, you're not doing a very good job of selling an XM to me ATM, I'll stick with my Xantia's for the time being, less rust on them as well

I wouldn't buy an S2 either.... too much rust..

I dont tend to Try and sell XM's really, I much rather sell someone a Xantia over an XM..

This post should be closed and locked before you lot get to the truth and talk up the resale value of XM's.
I had the true definition of an XM from a MOT tester that I only used once.
In his visual inspection at the start of the test he wrote down Xantia on his pad. He took umbridge when I tried to correct him and proceeded to tell me the car was an Xantia with a broken name badge. I stopped arguing as upsetting a tester is not the best way to get the through the test.

Keep talking, keep talking! :!: XM prices should go up (well, I may be biased as I have got one for sale ATM!)

What I'm struggling to believe ATM is that mine is on £430 but this one here is already up to £361 with an un-disclosed reason why it's spares/repairs and it's done over twice the mileage too!

There's 174 Watchers at the moment - I bet that's most of the FCF and Club-XM!

Hi Franklin

Of course we watch the ones for sale.
Buying is another matter.
Sadly overpriced is generally anything more than scrap value.
Condition and model type makes no difference.
The only exception is a Mk1 V6-24v which nearly every XM nutter wants.
